리눅스(linux) CentOS 에 epel 설치 방법

epel

EPEL은 Extra Packages of Enterprise Linux 의 준말이며 말그대로 리눅스의 추가 패키지라는 말입니다.

기본 저장소에 있는 것으로 찾지 못하는 패키지들을 epel 이 찾을 수 있게 도와주는 것이죠.

epel 설치 확인

epel - Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 6 - x86_64 가 있으면 이미 epel 설치가 되어있는 상태 입니다.

없는 경우 아래의 'epel 설치' 를 참조.

[root@localhost ~]# yum repolist
... 생략
epel    Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 6 - x96_64    11,188
... 생략
[root@localhost ~]#

epel 설치

CentOS 5 : http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/5/x86_64/epel-release-5-4.noarch.rpm

CentOS 6 : http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm

최신버전 확인을 위해서는 http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/ 참조
